Our Fond du Lac Story Began in 1934
50 Local People. $100 Each. One Shared Vision.
During the years following the Great Depression, 50 individuals in Fond du Lac each contributed $100 to start a new local financial institution. Their vision became First Federal Savings and Loan Association – part of the foundation of what would eventually become FVSBank. The idea was simple but powerful: give local people a trusted place to save, borrow, and build stronger futures close to home. More than 90 years later, a lot about banking has changed. That commitment to people and community has not. We’re still helping people put down roots, buy homes, build businesses, save for what matters, and prepare for what’s next.
